- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the provision of a Unarmed Guard Service for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution Sandstone, located in Sandstone, Minnesota. The Unarmed Guard Services will be provided for FCI Sandstone inmates while in area hospitals or clinics for treatment and recovery. It is anticipated that this RFQ will result in award of a single contract that shall consist of a 12 month base period, and the possibility of four 12 month option periods. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. Award will be made to the responsible quoter who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government The estimated number of sessions is 1200 for the base period, and for each of the possible four option periods. A session is defined as one hour in duration. The solicitation will be available on or about February 12, 2008 and will be distributed through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. and the Federal Technical Data Solutions website at www.fedteds.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring these sites to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provide all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about March 12, 2008. The North American Industry Classification System is 561612. This solicitation is unrestricted and all responsible business sources are encouraged to submit a quote which will be considered. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The anticipated effective award date is May 01, 2008.
