- Description
- Barksdale AFB, Louisiana has a requirement for base-wide grounds maintenance service and intends to issue a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about 4 Feb 2008 via Fed Biz Opps. A scheduled site visit date will also be released at that time. The contractor shall provide all supervision, personnel, equipment, transportation, and other items and services necessary to perform grounds maintenance service on approximately 778 improved grounds acres, 2127 semi-improved ground acres (includes airfield semi-improved) and 47 unimproved ground acres, at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. The contractor shall perform in accordance with standards outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Performance period will be on or about 1 April 2008 through 30 September 2008 (basic period) plus four one-year option periods. The PROPOSED SOLICITATION IS A COMPETITIVE 8(a) SET-ASIDE UNDER NAICS 56173. Small business size standard is $5 million. This solicitation is a competitive RFP awarded using commercial procedures found in FAR Part 12, using Performance Price Trade-Off evaluation procedures. The solicitation will be posted on the EPS web site (www.eps.gov). Anticipated posting date is 4 February 2008. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE.
