Description
DESCRIPTION: First Responder Training for the U.S. Border Patrol Customs and Border Protection. This is Sources Sought/request for Information. There is no solicitation available at this time. This synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. This synopsis should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Any information submitted is strictly voluntary. This Sources Sought Synopsis is for the U.S. Border Patrol Customs and Border Protection. The response date for this Sources Sought is 15 February 2008. Responses via email are acceptable. This Synopsis is in support of a market survey being conducted by the U.S. Border Patrol Customs and Border Protection to determine potential sources capable of fulfilling First Responder Training for 4,800 Border Patrol Academy interns. The purpose is to improve the Border Patrol?s capabilities to assess, prevent, and respond to humanitarian emergencies. In this effort the contractor will be required to provide training that is in accordance with American First Responder training must be in accordance with American Red Cross (ARC) or National Safety Council (NSC) guidelines or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) guidelines. All training must be in accordance with the newly revised Guidelines 2005 and the NEW standards of the national organizations designated to provide such accredited training.
