Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) is seeking a vendor to bid on the item listed below. USAMRAA is seeking BRAND NAME OR EQUAL TO: Haemonetics MCS+ 9000 Platelet Apheresis Device (Haemonetics p/n 09000-110E/NSN 6515-01-523-2067); Essential characteristics include function as a portable automated apheresis system which supports the collection and preparation of single donor blood products, to inc lude platelets and plasma, Quantity = 2; and Carrying case for the MCS+9000 (Haemonetics p/n 09012-00), Quantity = 2. Items are to be shipped to US ARMY MEDICAL MATERIEL AGENCY, MCMR-MMM-DU, 6149 WARDLEIGH ROAD, BLDG 1160. BAY 1, HILL AIR FORCE BASE UT 84056-5848. This announcement constitutes the solicitation. W81XWH-08-T-0095 is issued by USAMRAA, Ft Detrick, MD as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and offers must be submitted in writing (oral offers will not be accepted). The solicitation document and in corporated Provisions and Clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-22. All firms or individuals responding must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). The SIC Code is 3841; the North American Indus try Classification System (NAICS) code is 339112; the FSC is 6515. DFARS 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration, and DF ARS 252.212-7001 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items (specifically the following clauses cited in DFARS 252.212-7001 are applicable to this solicitation); DF ARS 252.225-7001 Buy American Act and Balance of Payments Program, DFARS 252.225-7014 Preference for Certain Domestic Commodities, and DFARS 252.243-7002 Requests for Equitable Adjustment. Award will be made based on value of price and warranty received f rom responsive, responsible bidder. The government reserves the right to make award on the initial bid received without discussions.
