Description

TACOM LCMC, Warren, MI intends to enter into contract W56HZV-08-D-0083 with Caterpillar Defense & Federal Products, Peoria, IL for RESET of government-owned Caterpillar construction equipment to include the High Speed Compactor, 130G Grader, 2.5 CY S coop Loader, Vibratory Roller, Dual Steel Wheel Roller, DEUCE, D7F and D7G Dozer, 613 and 621B Scraper, D5B and D8K Dozer, Rough Terrain Container Handler, and Water Distributor. The estimated quantity of vehicles to be RESET is 1,921. The total estimate d value is $73.1 million. The contract will be a three year requirements type contract with two one-year options. A RESET program consists of repairing vehicles that were deployed in support of operations in Southwest Asia to 10/20 standards and repairin g any Delayed Desert Damage. Negotiations will be conducted on a sole source basis (using alpha contracting procedures) with Caterpillar Defense & Federal Products, Peoria, IL. No solicitation will be issued.
