- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award or multiple awards to a responsible quoter(s) for the provision of (1) one Radiology Technologist and (1) one Pharmacy Technician at the Federal Correctional Institution and Federal Detention Center located in Tallahassee, Florida 32301. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621399 (Size Standard: $6.5 million). All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the field of Radiology Technologist and/or Pharmacy Technician services, and compliance with all Federal and State policy and regulations. The contractor(s) shall adhere to all standards and regulations associated with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. The contractor(s) performance shall be monitored by the COTR and the contractor(s) must have the ability to work with an inmate population from a variety of cultural, regional, racial and ethnic backgrounds. The contractor(s) shall at a minimum have 24 months of experience as a Radiology Technologist and/or Pharmacy Technician, and a degree from an accredited school of radiology technologist/pharmacy technician. Finally, the contractor(s) must possess and maintain a current license and registration for the state of Florida to practice the required service without restrictions. The candidate(s) name, resume and photocopies of documents evidencing education and training must be submitted with each quotation. The contractor(s) shall provide one (1) Radiology Technologist to perform an estimated 1456 one (1) hour sessions per year. In addition, the contractor(s) shall provide one (1) Pharmacy Technician to perform an estimated 1456 one (1) hour sessions per year. A session is defined as one (1) hour. The contract period will consist of a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods for renewal. The solicitation will be available on or about March 7, 2008, and will be distributed solely through the website at ww.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments will be distributed through the website. The anticipated receipt of quotes is March 28, 2008. The solicitation is restricted to small business sources. All responsible small business sources may submit a quotation which will be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. Please note: All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov.
