- This public announcement is to notify interested parties of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) intentions to procure the construction services for the installation of a new guardrail system located in Bldg. 300 at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center Atlantic City International Airport NJ 08405. Work shall include all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to remove the glass guardrail system and wood cap rails in the atrium areas of Bldg. 300 (floors 2, 3, and 4) and provide a new post supported glass guardrail system with aluminum cap rails along with incidental related work. The NAICS code is 238150. Overall period of performance will be 270 calendar days. A Firm Fixed Price Contract is contemplated. A mandatory site visit will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 9:00AM EST with all parties meeting at the Security Operations Center. Drawings, Specifications, and Solicitation will be handed out to site visit attendees only. Security issues require companies to identify personnel whom will be attending the mandatory site visit. Parties interested in attending the site visit must notify the Contracting Officer by Friday, February 15 at 2:00 PM EST via email at jeanine.passetti@faa.gov All proposals are due by Tuesday, March 18, 2008 2:00PM EST. Proposals will only be accepted from site visit attendees. All questions must be in writing (e-mail) and submitted by March 7, 2008 2:00 PM EST. Estimate range for this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Bid Bond shall be 20% of proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of contract price are required after notification of award. Award resulting from the SIR will be based on the following technical evaluation criteria: 1) Relevant Experience and Past Performance - evaluated on pass/fail basis 2) Key Personnel- evaluated on a pass/fail basis
