Description
U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) anticipates contracting with Simula Aerospace and Defense Group Inc dba BAE Systems, 7822 S. 46th Street, Phoenix AZ 85044-5313, for Initial Spares Packages Pilot Seat parts to be installed on the MH-60M helicopter, or any other aircraft fielded for USSOCOM. The p/n?s are 112409-1, restraint system, 112456-1, strap frangible, 113195-3, tilt strut assy, 101279-1, roller assy, 113184-1, pin quick release, 112440-1, cushion seat pan, 112450-1, cushion seat back, 112454-1, cushion head rest, 112426-1, handle assy vertical, 112427-1, handle assy horizontal and 113185-1, indicator block are the parts required. The proposed action is for a commodity purchase for which the Government does not own specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. Firms that feel they can provide this commodity or equal are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal, however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date (in accordance with FAR 5.203(a)). A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. The estimated release date of the solicitation is 19 Feb 08.
