Description

This is a synopsis for a commercial acquisition using FAR Part 12 procedures. U.S. Army Alaska has a requirement for a civilian enterprise newspaper. The civilian enterprise newspaper is published at no cost to the Government. In consideration fo r the contractual arrangement, the publisher will receive all the proceeds from any advertisements placed in the newspaper.This service will be provided for delivery at Fort Richardson and Fort Wainwright Alaska. Period of performance is 1 April 2008 throu gh 31 March 2009, and (4) One-Year Option Periods, that may be unilaterally exercised and extended by the Government. The Government intends to make a single award to the technically acceptable offeror that best meets the needs of the government. A selecti on group will pick the awardee. This group will review written data, to include recent, relevant past performance information, from prospective civilian publishing firms. The selection group will investigate the competence, reliability, technical productio n, and business capabilities and resources of each offer before making a selection. This is a Full and Open procurement. Solicitation No. W912CZ-08-Q-0007 will be issued as a Request for Proposal. It is advertised with a Standard Industrial Code (SIC) of 2752, business size of 500 employees and a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 323110. All responsible small business sources may submit a proposal, to be considered by the agency. Interested companies should submit their capabi lity information according to the instruction to offerors to our office no later than 28 February 2008 for review. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 13 February 2008 at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/
