Description
The Office of the Project Manager for Combat Ammunition Systems is seeking companies with technical expertise and experience to Manufacture, and Load, Assemble and Pack (LAP) M204, M235 and M236 60mm Propelling charges. Manufacture of these Propelling Charges requires extensive background in LAP of propelling charges, ability to support high quantity production, technical expertise to sustain quality throughout all phases of the process; experience in the presentation of data deliverables required for government contracts; and an established internal quality control system. Qualified sources must have the specialized facilities unique to LAP of Propelling Charges. Prior to assembly, the container and propellant must be stored in a temperature and humidity controlled Dry House. Lap must also be performed in a controlled environment. The specific propelling charges required and the approximate base year quantities are as follows: M204 210K, M235 1.2M, M236 65K. Any resulting contract is expected to be firm-fixed price, with a basic quantity and four firm-fixed priced and evaluated options. The Government expects to restrict this solicitation to the National Industrial Technology Base. All responding sources shall provide a summary of their company???s capabilities including organizations, name/address/point of contact identification, capabilities, a description of facilities/equipment, manufacturing process, inspection capability, personnel, past experience, and current production capacity per month and whether the company is a small or large business. All responding sources must submit their responses no later than 12 March 2008 to U.S. Army Joint Munitions and Lethality Life Cycle Management, Command Combat Ammunition Systems Contracting Center, ATTN: Stacy Kettler, Bldg 9, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000. Responses can also be submitted by email to stacy.kettler@us.army.mil. Large files need to be compressed using WinZip (http://www.winzip.com).
