Description

The U.S. Geological Survey has a requirement for the purchase of one expansion shelf for increased storage and backup capacity on its existing Network Appliance storage infrastructure, plus four component power cables and 12 months of warranty service, all at its site in Sacramento, CA. USGS already possesses a proprietary system by Network Appliance Corp. Addition of a disk drive or other hardware from another manufacturer would void the warranty on the original system. Network Appliance Corp. has identified authorized dealers of its equipment, from whom quotes have been requested. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively (aside from those identified dealers of Network Appliance Corp. equipment and service) IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Other interested concerns having the ability to furnish these items shall submit a capabilities statement to the Contract Specialist no later than the closing date of this announcement. All submissions will be evaluated to determine if competitive opportunites exist. This is NOT an RFQ; no written solicitation will be issued. This may represent the only written notice of this procurement.
