- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) China Lake, CA intends to enter into negotiations for a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract on an other than full and open competition basis with ICX-Technologies, Inc. 2100 Crystal Dr. STE 650, Arlington, VA 22202-3784 for Hardware and Test Support for the Air Force Sense and Avoid Flight Test (SAAFT) program. The SAAFT Program will demonstrate a prototype autonomous Sense and Avoid (SAA) system for eventual deployment on Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). The SAAFT program is divided into three rounds of development and testing: Round 1 - Characterization of the performance of various sensors. Round 2 - Integration of the individual sensors into a Multiple Intruder Autonomous Avoidance (MIAA) program sensor suite. Round 3 - Demonstration of autonomous avoidance of multiple intruders using the sensor suite. The solicitation with a detailed list of requirements will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online Website at http://www.neco.navy.mil and the FEBBIZOPPS website at http://vsearch2.eps.gov/servlet/searchservlet on or about 2/21/08. The solicitation will close on or about 3/21/08. All responsible sources must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at the following website: https://www.ccr.dlis.mil/ccr/scripts/index.html. Award will be issued under the authority of the test program for commercial items (FAR 13.5). All responsible sources may submit a quotation that will be considered by the agency. Responses must include all information requested in the written Request for Quotation (RFQ). Evaluation for the award will consider price and other factors including technical capability.
