Description
THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 01 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR HIGH DEFINITION VIDEO H.264 ENCODER AND DECODER. The purpose of this amendment is to respond to the questions received as follows: (Q1) What is the application? Is this device meant to provide multicast viewing of an HD video source across a LAN, or is the application more geared toward end to end encoding and trunking of an HD video source across a Wide Area Network Link? Also, is the source video an HD Camera or is it an HD cable drop? (A1) The High Definition Video H.264 Encoder and Decoder system is a stand alone system used for Laboratory testing the video quality of H.264 compression at various bitrates. This device is not meant to provide multicast viewing of an HD video source across a LAN. The application is not geared toward end to end encoding and trunking of an HD video source across a Wide Area Network Link. The source video is an HD Camera. (Q2) When you speak High Definition Video H.264 Encoder and Decoder, are you referring to a HD Video Conferencing Unit? (A2) The High Definition Video H.264 Encoder and Decoder system is a stand alone system used for Laboratory testing the video quality of H.264 compression at various bitrates. The due date for receipt of offers is not extended. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ that was posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on February 06, 2008. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet. These documents reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
