- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 12.6 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures for commercial items found at FAR 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on both FEDBIZOPS and NECO (http://www.neco.navy.mil/ ). This RFQ number is N00189-08-T-N061. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-18 and the latest Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement 2001-26. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. FISC Norfolk Naval Shipyard anticipates award of a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis for a Performance Based Services Acquisition (PBSA) provided by original equipment manufacturer (OEM) VACCO Industries as follows: Statement of Objectives: The purpose of this requirement is to establish a Firm Fixed Price Service Contract for the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), VAACO to inspect, repair, reset and perform and operational test for seven (7) each HP Air Pressure Reducing manifolds (4 each manifolds in Phase 1 and 3 each manifolds in Phase 2). 1. Verify and evaluate general condition of manifolds; 2. remove old relief valve soft goods, clean and reinstall new relief valve soft good kits: inspect, evaluate and formulate a list of additional parts (if required); 3. complete installation of relief valve soft goods kits as necessary; 4. reassemble and test relief valves 5. Phase 1 in Plant 1 Period of Performance is 20 Feb 2008 through 29 Feb 2008 and Phase 2 in Plant 2 Period of Performance is 14 Apr 2008 through 30 Apr 2008. 6. Contractor is to provide breakdown of labor cost, and the unit price of the Relief Valve Soft Kit and all other materials. 7. Contractor is to provide published labor rate sheets.
