Description
The US Army, Joint Munitions & Lethality Life Cycle Management Command (JM&LCMC) Acquisition Center, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager, Maneuver Ammunition Systems (OPM-MAS), intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) W15QKN-08-R-0639 for on-site technical support at the U.S. Army Armor Center, Ft. Knox, KY. The primary purpose of this support effort is to ensure that the Project Manager, Maneuver Ammunition Systems (PM-MAS) ongoing/future direct fire weapon system, related technology base programs, armament system concepts, and overall strategic investment plans clearly address the operational visions and requirements of the armor community. Of key importance are PM-MAS&&& lethality system options and their entry into the on-going US Army Objective Force planning process. Offerors should possess expert knowledge and experience with planning and marketing of lethality-related technology programs for insertion into U.S. Army Objective Force planning activities and the Future Combat System (FCS) Unit of Action Maneuver Battle Laboratory (UAMBL). This procurement will be a 100% small business set-aside. The effort will be restricted to small business under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 541330 and a size standard of $25.0M. The contract type will be firm-fixed price with a one year basic period and four option years. The Government intends to award this contract on a best value basis. A U.S. Department of Defense security clearance (minimum level &&& SECRET) allowing access to NATO and Restricted Data information is required. Place of contract performance is Ft. Knox, KY with some work likely to be performed at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. All information is to be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. This is a pre-solicitation notice and a formal solicitation for requests for proposals will be posted on or about January 11, 2008.
