Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Data Processing Techniques, Incorporated, 943 Northfield Road, Woodmere, NY 11598, for the renewal of maintenance on (6) Copies of SSA's PDS Monitor Software Site Licenses and Support Services for the period of May 1, 2008 through April 30, 2009 under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b)(1). PDS Software is installed on Systems 8I, 82, 83, 84, 91, and 92 in the National Computer Center (NCC). The PDS software is used to produce the "Monthly Vendor Software Usage Report." The PDS software is proprietary to Data Processing Techniques, Incorporated and is the only responsible source for maintenance, updates, fixes, along with software upgrades. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed purchase order for the maintenance renewal. Other organizations possessing the necessary resources are invited to submit information concerning their capabilities, expertise, and other pertinent data via email to Rick.Bolt@ssa.gov by February 26, 2008. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. THIS NOTICE DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION FOR OFFERS. A determination by Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received by the cutoff date, the SSA will proceed with sole source negotiations with Data Processing Techniques, Incorporated. Again, all questions and submissions in response to this notice must be submitting electronically to the email address listed above (the Point of Contact). Telephone calls regarding this matter will not be accepted, nor will they be returned.
