Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, BRD, National Wildlife Health Center, Madison, WI has a requirement to obtain specific-pathogen-free (SPF) embryonated chicken eggs. The Government intends to make award on a sole source basis to Hy-Vac for this requirement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(b)(2). This is a one-time buy with no options. Items are to be delivered by March 7, 2009. Hy-Vac is uniquely qualified to provide the products required. Hy-Vac is a supplier of SPF embryonated eggs that meets USGS specific requirements in regards to travel distance ensuring viability and freshness of required items. There is no written solicitation for this requirement. This award will be made on or about March 1, 2008 under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of $100,000. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 112310. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No additional synopsis will be published.
