- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Western Logistics Service Area is soliciting competitive proposals for a grounds maintenance contract for the Salt Lake City Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) and the associated Child Care Facility grounds, both located in Salt Lake City, Utah. The ARTCC and Child Care Facility grounds consist of approximately 16.5 acres with tasks consisting of maintaining parking areas and driveways, sidewalks, pads, ramps, landscaped areas, lawns, shrubs, planting beds, and non-planted areas. Additional tasks include: fence maintenance, watering, automatic-sprinkler maintenance, mowing, edging, aerating, pruning, mulching, fertilizing, vegetation control, and general grounds care. The award will have a base contract period of April 1, 2008 through September 30, 2008, with four (4) one (1) one-year option periods. Each option year period will consist of 7 months from October 1 thru October 31 and April 1 thru September 30. No performance is required from November 1 thru March 31. A mandatory site visit at the ARTCC is scheduled for March 6, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. All offerors must attend the site visit for consideration of contract award. This action is 100% set-aside for socially and Economically Disadvantage Businesses (SEDB) NAICS 561730. An eligible SEDB offorer must be expressly certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) for participation in the SBA's 8(a) program and in good standing with the Small Business Administration at the time of award. Certification documents are required for award consideration. Additionally, by submission of an offer, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee shall be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract, basic agreement, basic ordering agreement, or blanket purchasing agreement resulting from this solicitation. Response to the solicitation is required by 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time, Tuesday, March 11, 2008.
