Description
In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration Acquisition Management Policy, Section 3.2.1.3.12, Public Announcements, the FAA Alaskan Region has a requirement for the inspection/certification and, if required, repairs of fire protection systems at FAA facilities throughout Alaska, ensuring compliance with applicable model building, national fire codes and OSHA requirements. The SIR is for a base year with four option years. The SIR is expected to be issued on or about February 29, 2008, with closing tentatively scheduled for March 28, 2008, at 2:30 pm local time. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: DOT, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (SADBU) has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
