- Description
- The Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source, FFP contract with the AGFA Corporation, of Ridgefield Park, NJ for the renewal of the existing Maintenance and Repair Service Contract for VISN 12. This procurement shall include all maintenance, upgrades/updates to the software and hardware as required and emergency repairs of the AGFA picture archiving and communication system (PACS). The equipment in VISN 12 includes but is not limited to the Computerized Radiography systems (CR), Diagnostic Review systems and Voice Recognition systems (VR). Service shall be for the period beginning April 01, 2008 through September 30, 2008 plus three (3) option renewal periods. Recent upgrades were made to the system by the manufacture and therefore, this additional equipment will be added to the maintenance agreement upon expiration of the warranty. To the best of our knowledge, the AGFA Corporation is the only company that can perform the services. NAICS 811219 - $6.5 M. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes however; any AGFA certified and /or authorized contractor that can meet these requirements are requested to submit clear and convincing evidence of their ability to perform the services. Written notification shall be submitted to the Contracting Officer on or before the response due date of this synopsis. Supporting documentation shall be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the firm's capability of working on the specified equipment. Documentation shall also include the contractor???s ability to provide the necessary updates and/or updates to the software included in this system. Information can be sent electronically to the Contracting Officer at diane.brazale@va.gov or via mail to the Contracting Officer, VAMC-GLAC, Building 5, 5000 W. National Ave. Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295. No telephone requests will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with AGFA Corporation.
