- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement to replace the site steam and select chilled water distribution piping located on the Gaithersburg, Maryland, campus. The requirement for the base contract is for the steam replacement of manhole (MH) S-02F and S-02J. The contract will also include four options through fiscal year 2012 for the steam replacement of MH S-02A & S-02F, MH S-02J & S-02N, MH S-02R & Building 236, and MH S-07 & S-09. Detailed specifications and drawings will be issued with the solicitation. The contract period of performance is 365 days after receipt of Notice To Proceed. The magnitude of construction for the entire project is anticipated to be between $5M and $10M. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business (NAICS 237110, SIC 1629, and $27.5M). See Numbered Notes 1 and 26. Contract award will be made to the lowest priced technically acceptable offer. The solicitation, solicitation amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement will be made available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizops.gov/. The solicitation is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about March 13, 2008 and will only be available via the Internet at the above web site. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the web site. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. There is no written solicitation available, telephone requests will not be honored, and no bidders list will be maintained.
