Description

The National Institute on Aging, IRP, intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis with Illumina, Inc., San Diego, CA. for the following: MicroRNA Ragent Kit w/UDG for Universal Arrays (96), #MI-901-1002; Human MicroRNA Assay Pool (96), #MI-101-1001 and miRNA Universal-96 Array Matrix (1536-plex), #MI-902-0201 including shipping and handling charges. A quantity of 7 each is needed for each of the three items. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1 (b) (1). The cited authority is applicable because Illumina, Inc. is the only source that can fulfill the requirements of this contract. A market survey was performed and no other sources were found. Delivery will be within 1 month. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) is 334516 and the size standard is 500. This acquisition is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition procedures and is exempt from the requirements of Far, Part 6, Competition Requirement. Award will be made on an all or none basis to the lowest priced, technically acceptable vendor.
