Description
SIR Description: In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration Western-Pacific Region; hereby announces its intention to solicit a Request For Offer (RFO) Custom Fabricate and assemble Dual circuit (18 ton total) air cooled condenser as per plans and specification. OGG ATCT CAB A/C Replace. Also to replace condensing units, Asso electrical and piping for the base building at the Kahulsu Air Traffic Control Tower. Request for this SIR will be accepted through Friday March 6th, 2008. Request must identify the solicitation number and must be made in writing to Lawrence McClain at the address listed below, faxed to (310)725-6842 or via email at Lawrence.D-CTR.mcclain@faa.gov. Vendors must also provide Company Name, Contact Person, Company Address, Phone Number, Fax Number, and Email Address when requesting SIR. Incomplete request will not be accepted. If you choose to respond via email, the FAA will not be responsible for any failure attributable to the transmission or receipt of your response. VERBAL OR TELEPHONE REQUEST WILL NOT BE HONORED. Any request for RFO received after March 6th, 2008, regardless of how transmitted, will not be honored. The RFO for this announcement will be issued on or about March 7th, 2008. Please note that this is a Small Emerging Disadvantaged Business (SEDB) Set Aside for 8 (A) contractors only. T3.6.1 - Small Business Development Program (Revision 19, October 2000)Small Business Development 5: DOT Lending and Bonding Program Revised 7/2005 a. To promote the financial assistance programs available from the OSDBU (S-40), procurement teams should add the following information in each public announcement of a procurement containing a bonding requirement: "This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
