- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The M1D (Diesel Powered Foamer) unit was developed to be a self contained foaming unit. It utilizes a 7HP diesel engine that produces compressed air and operates the foam unit. It is per fect for large jobs or remote locations where compressed air is not available. Foam provides maximum contact time for chemical effectiveness. Foam reduces the amount of labor needed to clean the aircraft. Foam offers savings in chemical and water usage. 55 gallon tank for extended foaming, 7 HP diesel engine, 50 feet of foam hose, 8 inch elastomeric rigid wheels; Secondary air hook up to run air tools. Also needed is the Helicopter Belly Foamer, which is designed to roll under the helicopter and foam t he underside of the airframe. This foam attachment can be used on multiple airframes and saves labor by eliminating the need for creepers and brushes. It can be quick coupled into any foam unit to quickly change a standard foamer into a belly foamer.
