Description

INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD) has a requirement for parts support for the Communications-Electronics Life Cycle Management Command (C-E LCMC) Generator RESET program on the MEP-952B 5KW 28VDC APU. The Statutory Authority permitting Other Than Full and Open Competition for this action is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as cited in FAR 6.302-1, when there is a supply or service available only from one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other type of supplies or service s will satisfy the agencys needs. This requirement will be negotiated on a sole-source basis with Goodman Ball, Inc., 3639 Haven Avenue, Menlo Park, California, 97025, Cage Code = 62502. Goodman Ball is the original and only manufacturer of the MEP-952B G enerator. These parts do not have National Stock Numbers (NSN). The government did not purchase the technical data package, and Goodman Ball is the only source that can provide the required parts to meet the program schedule requirements. Interested person s may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals, which will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this actio n based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The NAICS code is 335312, Federal Supply Code is 5340, and the SIC is 3429. All respondents shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR ), have a valid DUNS number, Cage Code, and Tax Identification Number. All correspondence shall be written and sent via electronic mail to teely.shaffer@us.army.mil. The solicitation will be posted to the following two websites on or around 12 March 2008, https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ and http://www.fedbizopps.gov/.
