Description
Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC), Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense Systems (CBRN), Family of Field Medical Equipment (FFME), is seeking to identify firms, certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) under provisions of the section 8a program, to perform logistical warehousing support. The logistical warehousing support is for Authorized Medical Allowance List (AMAL)/Authorized Dental Allowance List (ADAL) and Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK) program sustainment. AMAL, ADAL and IFAK sustainment allows the deployed Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) to provide health services in order to maintain the combat effectiveness of the force and/or to safely stabilize and evacuate casualties from the field. Tasks include, but are not necessarily limited to: logistical warehousing (at contractor?s facility) and shipping support (including consolidation and reshipment); associated inventory, shipping, and receiving documentation; monthly rep orts; schedule control for monthly shipments; document control of incoming/outgoing shipments; inventory control and reporting of incoming/ outgoing shipments; and generation of inventory lists. The AMAL/ADAL requirement includes receiving, warehousing, consolidating and shipping of approximately 6,057 distinct line items per year. Shipping transactions are estimated at 96 per year. The requirement also includes the receiving, warehousing and shipping of approximately 30,100 IFAKS, 4,717 training IFAKS, 710 Trauma Spares, and 710 Minor Kit Spares. Anticipated shipping for IFAKS is 400 per month. Anticipated length of contract is one base and four option years. The firm performing this requirement must hold a current DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate. Only 8a firms possessing the capabilities to accomplish this requirement are invited to submit the following: company information to include the business size, statement of capabilities to accomplish the proposed effort, past performance, and any other relevant information. Responses shall be submitted no later than 3:00 PM Local Time, 18 March 2008 to Marine Corps Systems Command, Contracts Directorate, Code CT 023, ATTN: Mark Sanderson, 2200 Lester Street, Quantico, VA 22134-6050. Submitted information will not be returned. This is not a request for proposal or quotation. No solicitation document exists. This is not to be construed as a commitment by the government to procure these services, nor does the Marine Corps intend to award on the basis of this sources sought/market research or otherwise pay for the information requested. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect cost or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of responses to this RFI and Government use of such information. Proprietary information submitted in response to this request for information will be protected when clearly identified as proprietary.
