Description

Pending completion of the current competitive acquisition for mailroom services (reference solicitation SSA-RFP-08-1036 previously posted on February 6, 2008) the Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to extend its existing mailroom services contract with FOCUS AMC, Vernon Hills, IL on a sole source basis for a short-term period (March 11, 2008 through June 10, 2008) in order to continue mailroom operations services without disruption. Place of Performance is at Social Security Administration Headquarters located in Baltimore, Maryland. This action is being publicized pursuant to the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2, and 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements). This notice is for information purposes only and does not constitute nor will it result in a request for proposals. No solicitation document for this action will be available and telephone, fax, or e-mail requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A determination not to compete this proposed action based on this notice is within the discretion of the Government.
