Description

The US Army Contracting Command Korea has a requirement for operation and management of the Korea Battle Simulation Center (KBSC) consisting of simulation services at Yongsan Army Garrison, Camp Casey and other locations as required. The services in clude: exercise design and planning, exercise control, simulation support, opposing forces, after action reviews, and command and control (C2) integration. In addition, this contract provides manning of an Operations Group in support of Korea Training Are a (KTA) operations. The KTA is modeled after the Combat Training Centers principles in AR 350-50. Lastly, the contract supports the Battle Command Training Capability of individual and collective training of soldiers in the use of battle command system s. It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) with Requirement type contract including Cost Reimbursable & Optional Line Items will be awarded with a period of performance from 1 March 2008 through 28 February 2013 (including option years and phase-I n period). Solicitation will be issued and posted to ASFI Acquisition Business Web Site approximately thirty days from the date or later of this synopsis. It is anticipated that a Pre-Proposal Conference/Site Orientation will be held to explain or clari fy specifications and requirements, and to answer questions before the Solicitation is issued. Please note that this Conference/Site Orientation is tentatively scheduled to take place 28 September 2007 at Yongsan Army Garrison, Seoul, Korea and Camp Casey , Dongduchon, Korea. Further details regarding Performance Work Statement (draft) and Itinerary of Conference/Site Orientation will be posted to the website https://contracting.korea.army.mil.
