Description
Market Survey Capability Assessment for AWOS Data Collection Platform Project - Wire This is a market survey for Wire to be used in the AWOS Data Collection Platform Project. The responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a screening information request or request for proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. Therefore, any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendors' expense. At this time, the nature of the competition has not been determined. The FAA may decide to do a full and open competition or set aside all or part of the procurement for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA's 8(a) Program. This market survey is being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition among small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or 8(a) certified firms. The total estimated price for the requirement is $8,560.50. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest from companies with the capability of providing the wire listed on Attachment 1. The principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 331422 Copper Wire (except mechanical) Drawing, the size standard is 1,000 employees. In order to make this determination the FAA requires the following from interested vendors: 1. Complete the attached Business Declaration form, 2. Copy of SBA 8(a) certification letters, if applicable. 3. Copy of catalog or price list for items on Attachment 1. 4. Capability Statement - This document should identify: (a) special agreements with vendors, (b) pricing information, i.e. catalog availability, quantity discounts available to the government, etc. (c) list of exceptions to the part numbers provided Attachment 1 is a list of all anticipated requirements for wire. Respondents are encouraged to review this list of parts and provide comments. All responses to this market survey must be received by 14 Mar 2008. All submittals should be submitted via email to: michelle.shaw@faa.gov. No phone calls will be accepted.
