- Notice Of Intent To Award A Sole Source Contract The United States Army Contracting Agency Southern Region, Yuma Directorate, Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a sole-source award with Surveyors Service Company, 2942 Ce ntury Place, Costa Mesa, CA 92626-4324, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This will be a commercial acquisition using simp lified acquisition procedures for commercial items per FAR 12 and FAR 13.5. The proposed contract action will be for components to upgrade Yuma Proving Grounds current Leica GPS Geodetic Surveying Equipment System 500 to the System 1200. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements or submit proposals within 7 days of synopsis publication to the Contracting Office POC listed below. Informat ion received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discret ion of the Government. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these supplies, then you must respond by 06 March 2008, 3:00PM MST. All inquiries shall be clearly marked with solicitation number W9124R-08-T-1017 and emailed to the POC l isted below or sent by facsimile to (928) 328-6849. See Note 22.
