Description
The Naval Air Systems Command intends to place a firm fixed price order under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement, N00019-05-G-0026 with McConnell Douglas corporation (A Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Boeing Company) of St. Louis, Missouri 63166, for the procurement of retrofit kits for multiple Engineering Change Proposals for the F/A 18 series of aircraft on a sole source basis. The titles of the ECPs for which kits are required are as follows: ECP 6190, "Fuel System Ground Pressurization Tube Water Entrapment", ECP 6198, "Radar Bay Vent Valve Fail - MSP 862", ECP 6216, "Fuel Wash Filter Enhancement", ECP 6219, "Wing - Fuel Probe Corrosion Protection", and ECP 6243, "FT76 Jackpoint Support Fitting Life Limit." McDonnell Douglas is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and integrator of the F/A 18 aircraft in its various configurations and is the only source with the knowledge, expertise and on-site personnel base necessary to accomplish this effort. Any interested party must have the approved facility and personnel clearances necessary and also demonstrate its ability to obtain any required clearances in time to meet the schedule requirements. Any respondent must also submit a Statement of Qualifications to demonstrate their ability to perform to the Government's needs within the required response time. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. See note 22.
