Description
This notice is to inform industry of revisions to the Small Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System/Tier II Unmanned Aircraft System (STUAS/Tier II) program. Since the STUAS/Tier II Industry Day in August of 2007 there have been changes in the program requirements, acquisition strategy, and timelines/schedule. An updated competition timeline, notional program schedule, and system capabilities summary will be posted on the PMA 263 website (http://www.navair.navy.mil/pma263/stuav/stuav.htm) to coincide with this announcement. A more detailed capabilities description document, with a limited, For Official Use Only distribution is available for vendors with CAGE codes by contacting the STUAS/Tier II Contracting Point of Contact (POC) Mr. Arthur Amses, email: arthur.amses@navy.mil or phone: 732-323-2475. The STUAS/Tier II acquisition strategy will now be a single, full and open acquisition with planned upgrades vice two separate competitions (one for Increment 0 and one for Increment 1). A draft Request for Proposal (RFP) for the program System Development and Demonstration phase is tentatively scheduled to be released April/May 2008 with an Industry Day/Pre-Solicitation Conference to follow in approximately May 2008. Following an industry comment period the Government anticipates releasing the final RFP in July/August 2008. Industry will have 60 days to respond to the final RFP.
