- Description
- In accordance with the procedures specified in the revised OMB Circular A-76 (Attachment B, B.1), dated May 29, 2003, this notification represents the formal public announcement and official start date of a standard competition on commercial activity functions of the National Center for Preparedness, Detection, and Control of Infectious Diseases (NCPDCID) that are characterized as ANIMAL CARE and LABWARE/LAUNDRY SERVICES performed at the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), at its Clifton Road campus, in Atlanta, Georgia. Within the NCPDCID there are currently 33 FTE performing the functions under study at CDC?s Clifton Road campus, 1600 Clifton Road NE, Atlanta, GA., 30333. The following incumbent service providers are potentially affected by this study, either as prime or subcontractors: Amitech, and Priority One. A firm-fixed price type contract for the base year and four (4) option years is anticipated, not to exceed sixty (60) months. The first draft of the Performance Work Statement is anticipated to be available on or about December 5, 2007. The second draft of the Performance Work Statement is anticipated to be available on or about January 9, 2008. The Competitive Sourcing Official is Joe Ellis, the Contracting Officer is Dale DeFilipps, and the Agency Tender Official (ATO) is Ted Pestorius. The standard study is expected to be completed within 12 months of this announcement. Additional details regarding the type of competition (set-aside determination) and other informatin will be provided at a later date. The NAICS code is 541940.
