Description

The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System anticipates awarding a sole source procurement to Aesculap Implant Systems for the following items: (1) one each Aesculap OrthoPilot Navigation System item number FS100; (2) one each Software TKA Version 4.2 item number FS208; (3) one each Software THA Version 2.0 item number FS213; (4) one each Software ACL Version 2.0 item number FS215; (5) one each TKA Instrument Set item number NP610; (6) one each 6 Pin Check set item number NP612; (7) one each Equipment trolley item number PV975; (8) one each Camera stand item number PV978; (9) one each OrthoPilot Workstation item number FS002; (10) one each OrthoPilot Footswitch item number FS003; (11) one each Serial cable item number FS004; (12) one each OrthoPilot Polaris camera system item number FS411; (13) one each OrthoPilot Infrared transmitter item number FS601; and (14) one each OrthoPilot 18" TFT LCD screen item number PV932. NAICS code #339112 applies to this procurement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Order is to be delivered to Bay Pines VA Healthcare System at Building 100, Warehouse, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, FL, 33744. No solicitation will be issued, however, all quotations received on or before 4:00 PM, EST, March 17, 2008, will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The anticipated award date is on or before March 24, 2008.
