Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE REQUESTING INFORMATION IN SUPPORT OF THE FOLLOWING POTENTIAL REQUIREMENT. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation, nor is it a request seeking contractors for placemen t on a solicitation mailing list. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. The Directorate of Contracting (DOC) at Fort Carson, Colorado, is seeking businesses capable of providing all necessary labor, materials, storage, administrative facili ties, and services required to receive, store, secure, maintain, account for and issue back to the owner up to 850 Privately Owned Vehicles (POVs). Interested parties responding to this sources sought notice should provide information directly related to their abilities to meet Government requirements. In particular, please address the following: 1. Ability to provide a sufficient, secure indoor storage facility for up to 850 POVs. The facility must be existing, and may either be owned or leased by the Contractor. The Government is not interested in a proposal to build a new facility. 2. The Contractors storage site(s) must be within a 60-mile radius of Fort Carsons main gate. 3. Ability to operate with extended business hours on a 24-hour notice, t o include weekends and holidays, to service soldiers who are deploying. 4. Ability to provide adequate insurance to be responsible for all theft and damage that may occur to the POV while in the Contractors possession. 5. Ability to provide shuttle tran sportation services to owners/authorized agents for the pick-up and drop-off of the POVs. 6. Ability to provide service and repair to ensure battery, vehicle fluids and tire pressure is maintained at manufacturers recommended specifications. 7. Provide relevant past performance experience. The Government is not interested in GSA schedule items or services. No final commitment has been made to procure the stated requirement and this sources sought notice should not be construed as a commitment or author ization to incur costs in anticipation of such procurement. Contractors shall not be reimbursed for providing this information; therefore, DOC Fort Carson will accept the requested information in whatever format it is provided. All information provided w ill become property of the U. S. Army and will not be returned. Responses are requested by 2:00 PM Mountain Standard Time on 10 March 2007 and should include a point of contact, phone number, fax number, email address and Cage Code.
