- Description
- Furnish all labor, equipment, transportation, and supplies, with the exception of government furnished materials, to remove existing fencing and construct approximately 1348 rods of 4 barbed wire fence with one cattle guard and appurtenances and replace with steel and wood posts and braces. Work is located in Petroleum County, Montana. Area maps and drawings will be provided with the Request for Quotations. There are eleven (11) line items on the schedule; (1) Barbed Wire Fence 4-wire -- 1,384 rods; (2) Barbed Wire End Panel, Type II -- 10 each; (3) Stress Panels -- 2 ea; (4) Corner Panels, Type II -- 43 each; (5) Barbed Wire Gate, 4-Wire -- 6 each; (6) Single Set Wood Posts (Dug) -- 70 each; (7) Fence Removal -- 640 rods; (8) Complete 12 inch Cattle Guard Assembly -- 2 each; (9) Precast Concrete Cattle Guard Bases -- 4 each; (10) Deadman -- 300 each; and (11) mobility for fences -- 1 lump sum. The contractor shall have 50 days after receipt of Notice to Proceed to complete the work. Estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. A 100 percent payment protection will be required for contracts greater than $30,000. Payment protection will be due PRIOR to issuance of the Notice to Proceed and can be submitted by an Irrevocable Letter of Credit, Certificate of Deposit, or Payment Bond. NO BID BONDS WILL BE REQUIRED WITH THE QUOTE. Prospective contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be considered for award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Information on CCR registration can be obtained via the internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Offerors must also complete the Annual Representations and Certifications (ORCA). Information on ORCA registration can be obtained at http://orca.bpn.gov. The solicitation will be posted on or about March 18, 2008. Response date for quotes will be on or about April 16, 2008. A tentative site visit will be scheduled around the first part of April 2008. A firm time and place will be cited in Section L of the specifications. NO HARD COPIES of the solicitation will be sent out by this office but will be available on the website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. This procurement is a total Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. However, all small business concerns are encouraged to respond. If a fair and reasonable quote is NOT received by a responsible and responsive Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concern, all quotes received from small business concerns will be considered without further notice. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 238990. Small business size standard is $13.0 million.
