- Description
- NAVAIR NAWCAD Lakehurst intends to enter into a sole source delivery order with the Bell-Boeing JPO (BBJPO) for the procurement of the design, development, testing, manufacture and production of Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) and associated data to support the Intermediate (I) and Operational (O) level of maintenance for the V-22 aircraft. The V-22 support equipment is comprised of 8 SERDs that shall be used at the O and I level of maintenance on the V-22 Aircraft. These eight items are as follows: 2771 Trailer Adapter- Qty of 60, 2184 Proof Load Set Qty of 26, 2357 Empennage Sling Assmbly- Qty of 25, 2700 Adjustable Mirror Assembly- Qty of 14, 2704 De- Ice Test Set- Qty of 26, 2705 Conversion Actuator Spindle Removal Tool- Qty of 26, 2753&2754 LH&RH Nacelle Lifting Tool- Qty 39 each; for a total of 255 items. BBJPO, the designer, developer, and integrator of the V-22 Aircraft Weapons System, is the original manufacturer of the V-22 aircraft and remains the only business entity that has all the required proprietary rights and non disclosure agreements with the suppliers of the aircraft components that are necessary to develop and manufacture this Organizational and Intermediate Level PSE within the required time frame of this requirement to meet the fleet requirements. The Government intends to procure this equipment under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Section 6.302-1.
