Description
The Naval Inventory Control Point is soliciting for 5-Year requirements contract for various items of navigation and communication equipement that are part of the following systems consisting of the AN/ASN - 150 Navigation System, E-2C Improved IFF System, and the AN/ASN - 123 Navigation Systems. Northrop Grumman Electronics Systems, Navigation Systems Division, Woodland Hilll, Ca (06481) and Salt Lake City, UT (5D172)are the OEM is the Original Equipement Manufacturer and the only known source to possess full repair capability. Complete data, drawings and the rights to the same are not available from the government. October 2008 is the estimated award date of the resltant requirements contract. The following are the top five high dollar items for repair: Planar Memory Unit P/N 8701171-503, NSN 5998 012423717, Display, Optoelectr P/N 8900690-9, NSN 5980 013470596, Control, Klystron P/N 8503032-902, NSN 5841 013565239, Control Klystron R, P/N 8503032-904, NSN 5841 0142 23364, Circuit Card Assembl, P/N 014118244, NSN 5998 014118244.For a complete list of all items to be repaired or any questions concerning this notice, contact Dori A. The subject items requires Government source approval prior to contract award, as the tiems are flight critical and /or the technical data available has not been determined adequate to support repair via full and open competition. Only the source previously approved by the government for repair of these items has been solicited. The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. If you are not an approved source you must submit, together with your proposal, the informaiton detailed in the "http://www.neco.navy.mil/sar.cfm" U.S. Navy Avaition Supply Office Source Approval Informaiton Brochure. This brouchure identifies technical data required to be submitted based on your companies experience in repair of the same or similar items. This brouchure can be obtained by calling NAVICP-P at (215) 697-4243. If your request for source approval is currently being evaluated at NAVICP-P submit with your offer a copy of the cover letter that forwarded your your request for souce approval. Offers received which failed to provide all data required by the Source Approval Brochure or document previous submission of all data required by the Source Approval Brochure will not be considered for award under this solicitation. Please note, if evaluation of a source approval request submitted hereunder cannot be processed in time, and/or approval requirments preclude the ability to obtain subject items in time to meet governemnt requirements, award of the subject requirement may continue based on Fleet support needs.
