- Description
- The General Services Administration, Federal Acquisition Service, Rocky Mountain Region, Network Services, intends to issue a solicitation (No.GS08T08BPC0022) on or about March 4, 2008, for commercially available integrated voice and data local telecommunications services within the Denver, CO Metropolitan Local Service Acquisition (MLSA) area and Salt Lake City, UT Metropolitan Local Service Acquisition (MLSA) area. The specific metropolitan boundaries will be defined in the solicitation. The government intends to award multiple Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), fixed-unit price contracts with a base period of three (3) years plus five (5) one year option periods. The government has defined three service groups: Voice Services, Data Transmission Services, and Internet Access Services. The service providers shall provide the following services/capabilities as a minimum but not limited to: Analog Business Lines with standard features, Centrex or Centrex type service with the minimum features, point-to-point trunking service ISDN PRI that will provide the ability to use a common block or range of numbers and must have the ability to interface with GSA?s current and future long distance providers, ISDN BRI, DSS, DIA, DSL, utilize the latest technology, meet industry standards for performance and transmission, have the capabilities and capacities to meet current and potential Government needs, support systems to easily add new services across the network, and consolidated management and integrated order processing systems with the highest level of reliability and support. Any additional telecommunications requirements identified by the Government will include only those services that are offered to commercial customers. This service is NAICS Code: 517110, Wired Telecommunications Carriers. Due to special billing requirements, the Government will not be using FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. This acquisition is unrestricted and open to both small and large business concerns. The Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued in the Federal Government?s electronic posting system, FedBizOpps.gov. To be considered for evaluation, the offeror must be certified by the appropriate state to provide local exchange services; be capable of providing an acceptable centralized electronic billing system for GSA and authorized direct order/direct bill federal customers to receive invoicing and make payments to. Offerors are encouraged to start monitoring the FedBizOpps website for Solicitation No. GST08BPC0022 around the intended issue date stated above.
