Description
Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and other resources to complete this project. The principal components of the work include removing approximately 42 miles of 115-kV transmission line wood pole H-frame structures; constructing 1.04 miles of double circuit 230/69-kV transmission line on Government-furnished single steel pole structures; constructing 40.7 miles of single circuit 230-kV transmission line on wood pole H-frame structures; and furnishing and installing 42.1 miles of optical overhead ground wire (OPGW); and other additional items as described on the drawings and specifications. The work is located in Williams and McKenzie Counties near the cities of Watford City and Williston, North Dakota. This solicitation is 100% Full and Open Competition - Sealed Bids. The estimated construction magnitude of this project is more than $10,000,000. This solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis. All work is to be completed within 300 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. All responsible business concerns may submit a bid which shall be considered by this Agency. This solicitation will be issued on or about March 21, 2008 and the projected bid opening date is April 22, 2008. Interested bidders must email, fax or mail the Contract Specialist to request the specifications and applicable drawings. DO NOT post any questions or responses to this IFB on IIPS. Any questions or responses posted to IIPS that concern this IFB will not be considered during the evaluation and award process. Any non-U.S. (Foreign National) visiting or working at any Western Area Power Administration facility must receive prior written approval from the appropriate Western Security Manager. Please contact the Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist for further information. NOTE: A limited number of copies of this solicitation will be available to those requesting it, on a first come, first serve basis.
