- Description
- Maintenance and Repair Services for Low Pressure Air Compressors at Building 149, Pearl Harbor, Naval Shipyard, Oahu, Hawaii. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only Atlas Copco Compressors LLC under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, since it is the only authorized contractor to work on Model ZR-7D compressor units. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The work includes, but is not limited to technical assistance to Government personnel performing maintenance overhaul of low pressure compressors, low and high pressure element replacement, compressor?s main bearing replacement, compressor?s oil pump housing replacement; provision of parts/components and all special tools and equipment for maintenance overhaul of low pressure compressors, low/high pressure element replacement, main bearing replacement, and oil pump housing replacement; other technical assistance to Government personnel as needed for maintenance/repair and operation of the compressors; and other parts/components and all special tools and equipment as needed for maintenance/repair and operation of the compressors. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 811310 and the annual size standard is $6.5 million. The contract term will be a base period of one year plus four option years. If the Government does not award a follow-on contract in time, the Government may require the Contractor to continue performance for an additional period up to six months under the Option to Extend Services clause. In either case, the Government will not synopsize the options when exercised. IDIQ work will be issued via the DOD EMALL, a web-based ordering system, using Government purchase cards. This contract will replace a contract for similar services awarded in 2003 for $309,087.00. Interested parties should respond no later than April 18, 2008.
