Description

Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail, located in Omaha, Nebraska, is currently in the market research phase of their acquisition process. Overview of Acquisition Objective: Video Editing-Logging Services Through 4 years of activity, an NPS traveling exhibit commemorating the Expedition of Meriwether Lewis and William Clark and the peoples they met, generated a quantity of approximately 1,600 time-coded video tapes (approx. 1 1/2 to 2 hours per tape). It is our objective to have a qualified source edit-log the videos in addition to creating a database program (Microsoft Access) which provides us the means to search for specific keywords, phrases, topics, etc., which in turn, would identify the exact tape(s) and precise location (by time-coding) on the tape(s) pertinent to our search. As our staff does not possess the technical expertise and detailed knowledge, nor are we acquainted with the general costs for this type of service, we are asking for sources to provide us with their input and recommendations concerning information, data, market pricing, nomenclature, lead times, and/or other necessary specifics for this service. By conducting this advance market research we will first determine whether the cost for such a service is a viable expense for the government, and if so, we would then incorporate the information we've gathered and learned into a Statement of Work which would clearly and precisely define our needs in the language, terms, depth and format familiar to the targeted industry for future solicitation.
