Description
The U.S. Maritime Administration intends to acquire on a Sole Source basis from Bardwell Electronics, 17 Locust Lane, Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts, 02568 the purchase and installation of Furuno VDR3000S Simplified Voyage Data Recorder which must be compatible with Raytheon Integrated Bridge system. System shall includeVR3010S Data collecting unit, VR5020/6G data recording fixed 6BG, VR3016 Remote alarm panel,VR5011/6PK Bridge microphone six-pack, VR3000SINST installation mat, liveplayer pro S-VDR, and RI3010 Radar interface board, S-VDR on a sole source basis for the purchase and installation of Furuno VDR3000S Simplified Voyage Data Recorder which must be compatible with Raytheon Integrated Bridge system. No other manufacturer makes this specific component, and the government does not possess the technical data necessary to permit another manufacturer to develop a comparable component. This notice is not a request for proposals/quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirements by emailing the CS or faxing the CS at 757-441-6080 by 13 Mar 08. Capability statements must include documentation establishing the ability to satisfy the Government's requirements. Any information received will be considered for the purpose of conducting a competitive procurement. Interested persons should identify their interest and capability to the Contracting Officer.
