Description
Regional Team Building Course You may submit your interest via fax to Meridith Potts, (703) 390-6562. Please include your POC information and fax number with your request. Requirements: The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) seeks the services of local professional trainer(s) for the purpose of conducting two-day workshops in each of its regional office locations. Regional Office locations and approximate class size is contained in Attachment A. Timeframe: Training should occur in April or May 2008 Facilities: Will be provided by the Government Topics to be addressed through lecture and interactive exercises: ? Value and use of working together as a team ? What makes a successful team ? How to solve problems as a team ? Communication Skills ? including, but not limited to, the following topics o E-mail versus in-person communications o How to give appropriate feedback to managers and coworkers ? Interpersonal Skills ? Conflict Management ? including, but not limited to, the following topics o Personality types o Diversity Training should focus on the OCFO staff (coming from four disciplines: Acquisitions, Budget, Finance, and Property) in each regional office as one team, which is part of the OCFO team overall. Vendor should provide a Program Summary Report for management with feedback/ observations of each regional training session. Background: Each regional office has personnel from the four disciplines who report to discipline managers within each regional office. The regional office discipline managers report to discipline managers in the central office. Recent changes have resulted in more oversight being performed by the central office discipline managers. Some regional offices house Central Office personnel who will be attending this training also.
