PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Solicitation Number Q1766080006. Description: The National Park Service is seeking a qualified contractor to Repair/ Replace a small pipe repair at Fort J on Governors Island. Required Services - The work includes providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation and supervision to replace 2 heating and 2 hot water underground copper pipes from Building #214 boiler room to a basement apartment at Fort Jay, Governors Island New York, New York .The existing pipe replacements are to be rerouted to an underground depth of 18" minimum, inserted in a 8" PVC sleeve, backfilled with sand (compacted at 6" lifts)covered with concrete and 10 previously removed slate pieces neatly embedded in the concrete. The piping is to be replaced with "K" type copper and consist of are two 1?"pipes, one 1" pipe and one ?" pipe. In addition ball valves and unions are to be supplied in both the boiler room and basement apartment. The intent of the sleeve is to have free flowing air from the boiler room to the basement apartment. The apartment location requires removal of a 3ft x 3ft section of concrete, installation of the piping/sleeve, backfilling (with 6" lift compaction) and concrete to match existing. The contractor is responsible to verify all locations and quantities/sizes/lengths, secure and drain piping, refill system, bleed air and verify valve operation after work completion. All work must be completed within one week of Notice to Proceed. LOCATION: The work will occur at Fort J on Governors Island, New York, NY 10004. The NAICS code for this project is 238220 and the small business size standard is $13.0 million. Contract duration is 7 days following notice to proceed. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the price range for this contract is between $10,000 and $25,000. This procurement is a Request for Proposal (RFQ) and is subject to the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Parts 13 and 15.
