- Description
- The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound (FISCPS) in support of the Naval Hospital, Okinawa Japan, has a requirement for surgical implants and instruments that are to be used with the Synthes plating system for bone fixation procedures. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Synthes Inc.,1302 Wrights Lane East, West Chester, PA 19380. The period of performance is scheduled from 01 May 2008 through 30 April 2009. Up to two one-year option periods may be included. The surgical implants and instruments are proprietary and only sold by the manufacturer for use in the Synthes plating system. The plating system will not operate satisfactorily unless Synthes equipment is used. Therefore, this notice is published for informational purposes only. Additional sources will not be sought at this time. FOB destination: Naval Hospital, Okinawa Japan. No telephone requests for the solicitation will be accepted.
