- The following specification changes are incorporated into this combined synopsis/solicitation: SCOPE The second sentence, -Government personnel will&- shall be modified as -Government personnel will perform placement/removal of safe cle arances.- The third sentence, -Contractor shall remove&- shall be modified as -Contractor shall perform all electrical connection/disconnection, removal of existing motors, lube system, pumps, install new pumps, reinstall existing motors, and perform s tart-up testing and adjustments.- PUMP SPECIFICATIONS Pump Performance The following sentence shall be inserted. -The contractor shall ensure the pumps operate within acceptable industry vibration limits.- Motors The f ollowing sentences shall be inserted. -Conduit holes (for the existing lubrication system) on the existing motor connection boxes shall be re-sealed per electrical industry standard practice. The contractor shall replace the existing electrical wires and f lex conduit (per NEC) if the motor connection box locations are changed.- Discharge Head The last sentence, -The existing&- shall be modified as -The adjacent Dresser coupling shall be replaced by the contractor with government furnished co uplings. Remaining discharge piping (existing) shall not be modified. Site Conditions The following sentences shall be inserted into the first paragraph. -The pumping plant is located approximately ? mile from the end of the paved county road . The access road is not paved. Modification to the existing structure is not allowed.- NOTE: Faxed, mailed, and e-mailed quotes are acceptable.
