- This combined synopsis/solicitation is amended to include additional clarifications/questions and answers to those questions: Questions/Clarification - 1. The MSA 1000 comes with SCSI Ultra 320 drives your configuration said SAS drives can we bid the SCSI drives instead. There is a new version of the MSA 1000 it is not yet available yet. The MSA 2000 when it is available will have SAS drives installed. 2. Rack mount Keyboard and Monitor what size monitor you need. Can we incorporate the KVM switch into the Rack Mount, monitor is this being used with the two servers and does the KMV need to be able to work with the Red Hat. Answers - 1. Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) was specified due to the faster transfer speeds over Parallel SCSI. The bid can be for either. In so far as the MSA1000 not supporting SAS, then the bid will need to be for Parallel SCSI then. 2. Judging by the width of the MSA1000 (19 inches) the monitor has to fit within the cabinet rails.
