- A Market Survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors for the following proposed project: Construct an Armed Forces Reserve Center (AFRC). Primary facilities includ e land acquisition (approximately 25 acres), construction of an AFRC Training building, Multi-use Classroom, Organizational Maintenance Shop (OMS)/Field Maintenance Shop (FMS), and unheated storage building. Buildings will be of permanent construction with HVAC systems, plumbing, mechanical systems, security systems, and electrical systems. Supporting facilities include land clearing, paving, fencing, general site improvements, and extension of utilities to serve project. Accessibility for the disabled will be provided. Force protection measures will be incorporated into design including maximum standoff distance from roads, parking areas, and vehicle unloading areas. Berms, heavy landscaping, and bollards will be used to prevent access when standoff distan ces cannot be maintained. Comprehensive building and furnishings related interior design services are required. Air Conditioning (Estimated 275 Tons). Contract duration is 540 days and estimated cost range is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. NAI CS is 236220. Size limitation is $31.0M. All interested HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should notify this office in writing by mail on or before March 25, 2008 by 2:00 pm Eastern Time. Responses should include: (1) Identification or verification of the company by the Small Business Administration, as either certified HUBZone, certified 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project, (3) Past Experience - Provide descriptions of projects substantially complete or completed within the last five years which are similar to this project in size, scope, and dollar value. Projects considered similar in s cope to this project include office complexes, schools, vehicle maintenance shops, and warehouses. With each project experience provided, include the date when the project was completed or will be complete, location of the project, contract amount and size of the project, the portion and percentage of work that was self performed, whether the project was design/build or not, and a description of how the experience relates to the proposed project.
