SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT AND MARKET SURVEY FOR WRITTEN INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN REPSONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. THE PURPOSE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS TO OBTAIN QUALIFICATION STATEMENTS FROM INTERESTED 8(A) JOINT VENTURES (MENTOR PROT?G? FIRMS), HUBZONES, SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED BUSINESSES, AND OTHER SMALL BUSINESSES FOR PERFORMING THE WORK DESCRIBED IN THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Specialty Center Acquisitions, NAVFAC (SCAN), is seeking qualified 8(a) Joint Venture (Mentor Prot?g?), HUBZONE, Small Service Disabled Veteran Owned, and Other Small Business sources with current, relevant experience and the capacity/capability to provide ocean engineering services in support of projects involving ocean cable systems, ocean work systems, waterfront facilities, hyperbaric facilities, offshore structures, moorings and ocean construction equipment. The work will be performed in environments ranging from arctic to tropic and at all water depths where construction, installation, maintenance, inspection, repair, and salvage operations may be needed in support of Naval Facilities Engineering Service Center (NFESC) customers. Firms shall have the necessary experience to be able to provide the services as mentioned above. Should this requirement proceed as an acquisition, the Government intends to solicit under NAICS code 541330 applies with a $25 million size standard. A multiple award, indefinite quantity, indefinite delivery (IDIQ MAC) type is anticipated, with task orders awarded using either Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) or Firm Fixed Price (FFP) pricing schemes. Interested small businesses in the categories described in this announcement are requested to submit a brief, written capabilities statement outlining relevant experience and capabilities. The capability statement shall not exceed five pages and consist of recent, relevant past performance information in providing the type of services described above as a prime or subcontractor. Please include current points of contact for verification purposes, contract number, dollar value, period of performance, contracting agency and a brief description of the contract scope of work. Also, include whether you are a current GSA schedule contract holder and terms. Submit the requested information electronically to scott.l.moore@navy.mil no later than COB 14 March 2008.
